1. Kennedy Space Center

    Kennedy Space Center Rocket Garden

We spent the Sunday before Christmas at the Kennedy Space Center here in Titusville, Florida.  It’s been many years since I’ve been there, and with family in town and Marisha’s teacher discount, it seemed to be the perfect activity on a nice winter day.  We arrived a little before noon and jumped straight on the bus tour.  The first stop was nice overlook to see the different launch pads.

The next stop was the Apollo mission building, which was my favorite area.  The Apollo rocket was massive.  The scale of these items is just incredible, especially when you see how small the capsules were. Finally, we moved on to the International Space Station building, which offered a glimpse of what is floating above us every day. We capped off the evening with an IMAX film and walk through the Rocket Garden as the sun set.

  3. The Windy City

    Chicago Bean

Marisha and celebrated with her family in the windy city this year.  Luckily, the weather cooperated and we had a wonderful time.  Most of it we spent at her Aunt & Uncle’s home outside of the city, playing the Wii and eating a lot of really good food.  We also took a trip (with everyone on a bus) to visit downtown where we got a nice over the water view of the city, crashed a German festival and got to look over the city at the Hancock building.  Thank you everyone, we had a wonderful time.
