Here’s a truly eye-opening article regarding the status of our oceans and the plastic we use day to day.  One of the scariest lines I could find is “no matter how virtuously you toss your chip bags and shampoo bottles into your blue bin, few of them will escape the landfill, only 3 to 5 percent of plastics are recycled in any way.”  It’s a shame to think this is happening and that all of us consumers believe what goes in the bin gets recycled.  Read the article!
