Hurricane Surfing Season Opens

Lost in Time

The 2006 hurricane surfing season opens up finally with a swell coming in Florence currently covering Bermuda. The entire east coast is feeling the effects of this one, unfortunately, it came to Florida with an ugly onshore wind. Sunday was a nice day for me. Marisha and I headed out to Cocoa for a relaxing afternoon where I played in the waist to chest high surf. I had a few nice sets and overall I was happy. Skip a day and now Tuesday it’s six foot at six seconds and looking like a gigantic washing machine. After a bum paddle out south of the pier, I decided to accept defeat and watch some of the short boarders have fun. Hopefully Thursday will clean up a little bit so the rest of us can have some fun! Below are photos of some of the short boarders!
